Naypyidaw is means “Abode of Kings”, was founded in 2006 as a Myanmar’s new capital. It is also known as administrative capital. Naypyidaw has new apartments with reliable utilities. The capital's official name was a declaration on Armed Forces Date in March 2006. It is 391 km from Yangon and 302 km from Mandalay, which take 4 hours ride from both. Naypyi Taw International airport is 30 minutes drive distance from city center and it is also easy to access from all parts of other division.. In Naypyidaw compound, Zeyar Thiri, Pohbba Thiri, Uttara Thiri, Zabu Thiri, Dekina Thiri, Pyinmana, Lewe and Tatkone Townships are consisting. The City Hall

The Gem Museum is situated in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. Gems museum is decorated with modernize wall glasses and beautiful decorations patterns. In this Museum the visitors can see the excellence jades and the largest pearl from Myanmar. It is normally opens from 09:30am to 04:00 pm but Monday and public holiday are closed.
Water Fountain Garden
The water fountain garden is the center of Naypyitaw city. This water fountain design is making with steel structure. The garden is wide 165 acre and include the main pond with three water fountains and thirteen different fountains with the eleven small ponds. The clock tower, which is 30 feet tall also consist of in this garden. It is comprised with two small gardens, nine recreation centers, two stone gardens, ten feet wide buggy road and footpaths.
Zoological Garden
It was opened on 26 March 2008 and situated in 1062 acres of land in Naypyitaw. There have 30 species of birds and 12 species of reptiles, 39 species of mammals are displayed at 27 booth. Among them. the rare and endangered wildlife are being shown at the booths including icy land inhabitant penguins and white tigers. The visitors can observe the rare wildlife at the Zoological Garden.
Myanmar International Convention Centre (MICC)
It is located on Naypyitaw in Zabuthiri Township with 312,000 square and 16 acres of Land. On 15-March-2010 finished for built by the People Republic of China and completed. The MICC is hall that can stretch out for 1900 persons. The structure of MICC is built with meeting rooms, listening rooms, VIP summit room, news briefing room, singing room and Banquets Hall for 720 person.
Hsipaw
Hsipaw is an ancient Shan town, the local capital of a Shan principality of the same name which according to its legendary history goes back to year 58 B.C. People said that Hisbaw was founded by Sao Hkun Hkam Saw who was the fourth son of the Sawbwa (Saohpa) of Mong Mao named Sao Hkum Lai. The large local market was in the center of the town and has some cinemas; small guest house and restaurant are near in the center of the town. The old wooden traditional Haw which is the place of the Sawbwa was destroyed by bombing during the last World War. However, visitor can observe modern Sawbwa’s residence which built during colonial times by Sawbwa Sao Ohn Kya ruled Hsibaw from 1929 to 1937. The Maha Myatmuni Phaya is right at the southern end of the town. The roads are parallel to Namtu or Dokhtawaddy River. The water in this river was clear and cool waters against a backdrop of hill and mountains. Visitors can learn the local people and landscape beyond their ability of the mind to be creative. And visitor can do trekking to the hill tribe Palaung and can seen tea plantation, orange plantation and ways of life.
Lashio
Lashio is a trading town in Northern Shan State and situated 857 meters sea level. Lashio was famous in World War II as the starting point of Burma Road. The famous road was built by British before the War, interests with Ledo Road leading into the Yunnan province. The major settlement is Shan and Chinese bordering with Yunnan province of China. Kyaing Tong
Kyaing Tong is situates in the Eastern Shan State, situated about 1,190 Km (about 1 hour 30 minutes' flight) northeast of Yangon and about 456 km from Taunggyi. Kyaing tong lies in valley between Shan Plateau, the high misty mountains and the Mekong and the Thanlwin Rivers. Kyaing Tong is the capital city of the Golden Triangle Region, a pretty place where stroll in the evening around Naung Ton Lake. The town is most scenic town in Shan State, with the beautifully located just beside of pond lake, dotted of ageing Buddhist temples and crumbling British Colonial Architectire. The ancient City walls and gates can still be observed today. Kyaung Tong also means the definition for “Walled City of Tong”. The town is famous for trekking program to near by villages of many colorful ethnic tribes, such as Gon, Lim wa, Wa, white and black Lah Hu, Lwe, Thai Nay, Shan, Li Su, Palaung, Akha and Li Shaw. Near Kyaing Tong there is Loi Mwe village used to be British hill station during colonial time here. One Hour drive from Kyaing Tong, Loi-Mwe National Park with elevations of 1700m above sea level is also one popular place around Kyaing Tong.

Loikaw
Loikaw is the capital of Kayah state. It is located in the southern Shan State of Myanmar and it lied on the Pilu River and located in hilly forested town. Loikaw is about 75 miles (about 5 hours) from south of Kalaw. The populations are about 31,000 and mostly are Kayah (also known as Karenni). The national races, such as Kayah, Gagho, Gagbar, Kayan (Padaung), Inn Tha, Shan and Bamar are live in the Kayah State. The Pa-O national races also live in hill region. The famous landmark of loikaw is the Thiri-Mingalar Taung-Kwe Pagoda Hill is the famous religious landmark of Loikaw. The view of the hillock is very pleasant.
The Padaung traditional customs and their way of life are interesting and wondering. One of their beliefs is that the longer neck look much prettier than shorter. Thus why, Padaung women when they become matured, they wear bronze spiral ring around their necks. Thus the one reason for Padaung ethnic to become a popular tribe of Myanmar. The Kinnare Bird is the national symbol of the Kayah State. Culinary crops and vegetables are also cultivated in Kayah State.
The other place is called Htee-pwint-kan (Umbrella pound). It was in the Demosoe Township. It was just a small pond and there has many circumferences that are about hundred feet in deep. The Kayah people believe that the "Htee-Pwint-Kan" was dug by the crocodile with the help of the white buffalo. Myanmar’s largest and most important hydro-electric power plant loated at BaluChaung Waterfall and namely “Law-Pi-Ta” which is about 14 miles from south of Loikaw that is the capital of Kayah State.

Muse
Muse was a small town and it lied on the bank of the Shwe Li River. The town was situated at the main border gateway between Myanmar and Yunnan Province (China). It far about 195 km from Lashio and it is a bustling trading center. The hotel or motel in Muse has modern facilities. The nearby border towns are Nam Kham and Kyukoke.
Tachileik
Tachileik is situated on the Myanmar and Thai border, is a successful town with a glory of its own. And it's located in the eastern Shan State. The border between Thailand and Myanmar is differing by only a narrow stream. Its market is a wonderful place to browse. For day trips to see Thai culture, locals can obtain permits to cross into. As in all border towns, young people are untiringly busy at all times. One can fly direct from Yangon to Tachileik in an hour. A short flight to Tachileik will be the beginning of a tour of the famous Golden Triangle. This can be done the combination trip of Myanmar with Thailand, Laos or Cambodia land route. Entering Tachileik from Mae Sai and link to Kyaing Tong, Inle, Mandalay and Bagan, then conclude the trip in Yangon, can be done. Kachin State is located in the Northern state of Myanmar. It is situated on the southern flank of Kachin state and between the confluence of Maykha and Malikha River and these rivers are the sources of Ayeryarwaddy River. Kachin State is the largest town and trade center of China and Myanmar. Kachin State is surrounded by China to the North, Shan State to the south, Sagaing state and India to the west. Myitkyina
Myitkyina is the major trade city of the Kachin state. It is the perfect starting place to pleasure trip to ethnic group, jade mines, Myitsone River which from Himalaya streams (May kha, Malikha) and famous icy mountains such as Mt. Indawgyi Lake
The Indawgyi Lake is the largest and natural lake in Myanmar. It is located south west of Myitkyina, 40 miles long and 70 miles wide and lies on the upper region of Moekaung River. The lake is most attractive destinations in this town. It is wild life sanctuary so many waterfowls, rare species of fishes, birds, aquatic biology, butterflies and insects can see in the Indawgyi Lake. In the middle of the lake the visitors can visit to Shwe Myintzu pagoda. The others tourists’ attraction place is elephant riding camp. It is 6 kilometers far from Hopin railways station. Near the lake about 20 villages are take place along the shores.
Hpa Kant
This city is famous for Jade thus why people called “Jade City”. It is situated 147 kilometers to the west of Myitkyina. People who live in the quarry are really bustling and busy in this town. You can see the gold panning workshops along the Uru River. Actually, all the business and peoples’ jobs depend on the Jade market. All of the people from the Hpa Kant town work at jade mine. All the food and goods are carried from Mandalay. So Hpa Kant is very precious place in Myanmar.
Bahmo
Bahmo is located 188 km south from the capital of Myitkyina. It is on the Ayeyarwady River, and is the nearest river port to the Chinese border. Bamaw is a small town and sets prettily amid rolling hills. Bahmo is situated 364 feet above sea level and many historical pagodas. The name Bahmo was derived from Shan's word "Mamaw" meaning place to make pots.The beautiful defiles on the Ayeyarwaddy River make this trip more interesting. It is possible to take a double-decker river boat from Bhamo to Mandalay. The cruising time of the luxury ferry is about 36 hours to Bahmo and 24 hours return.
The population is a mix of Chinese and Shan, with Kachin peoples in the hills around the town. Bhamo was once called Sampanago, and was the capital of a now-extinct Shan kingdom of Manmaw. The ruins of the old city walls still exist, some 5 km from the modern town.
One can encounter colourfully dressed members of Lisu, Rawan, Kachin, Shan and Palaung national races shop in the town. Some street bazaars open at around 4 am, with flickering candles dimly showing fruits, flowers and vegetables. It's an enjoyable trip, which passes through the scenic beauty of nature. Bahmo also host the Manu festival in each year in January.
Putao
Putao, situated in the north of Myitkyina, considered as the most important town of northern Myanmar, situated 402m above sea level. The place is quiet, small and surrounded by snow-capped mountains stretching from Tibet in the northwest. The town is famous for its uniqueness and naturalness with populations not over 6000. It’s located at the foot of most pristine Himalayas environments in Asia with surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It is cool the whole year round and there are many varieties of citrus fruits grown in the orchards. Before conquer by British Colony it is empower by Hkamti Shan Sawbwa. During the Second World War, British Military post was based in Putao and named as Fort Hertz Base. Some westerners and some older maps still used this name instead of Putao.

In Kachin State, it is worth visit to Local Hill Tribal Villages, hiking to Mt. Khakaborazi (5900 meters) and Mt. Phunganrazi (3506 meters), known as Switzerland of Myanmar. The town is also the nearest to the base camp for climbing the highest Mountain in South East Asia, Mt. Khakaborazi a very important watershed area for the eastern Ayeyarwaddy River. Putao is surrounded by evergreen forest up to 2000m, rainforest from 2000m-3000m, and sub-alpine snow forest above 3000m. Flora & Fauna
This area is famous for its Nature of originated Flora, especially there are many various kinds of orchids and even the world rarest Black orchids can be found in this area. Visitors can see maple, birch, walnut, chestnuts, rhododendron and various kinds of Bamboos in this forest area. Between Januarys to April is the best period to see Flora and Fauna in the icy mountain forest.
There can be found lots of terrestrial species such as Monkeys, Mountain Goats, boars, birds and some rare species. Forest Department claimed to record 134 avian species which include 15 very rare species among them the impeyan pheasant and the blood pheasant are endangered. Most of endangered and rare butterflies, such as Apollo Bhutan, Kaiserm Glory and Bird wings can be endemic in hills area. The richest of the biodiversity deserves the interests of eco tourists. This region is the resident of the rare animals such as the tar kin (Budorcas Taxicolor), the red panda (Ailurus Fulgens), black bears, the leaf deer, deer with black horn, blue sheep, the scow and the red goral.
Ethnics & Culture
Kachin State is residence to many different ethnic minority tribes including Rawang, Myanmar-Tibet, Lisu, Jing Hpaw, Khanti-Shan and Tarong. Tarong tribe is famous for their diminutive character; all of them are not more than 4 m in height. Except Myanmar-Tibet whose most dominate by Buddhism, other majority are Christian. Most of local people lives by farming and cultivating paddy in lower plains valley by irrigation. The higher region is populated with pine, hemlock and silver fir mixed with some larch. There is one chine bell made from the WWII aircraft’s propeller is situated next to the ancient Mahamuni Pagoda. Suspension bridges are typical for river crossing in this region.
